To Do List

Today was going to be a super busy day. My to do list runneth over. I was up at 5:30am ready to tackle that list. First thing to check off the list: daily devotional. As I began to read in John, I admit that I was a little distracted by the other items on my to do list. As I tried to focus, I felt that still, small voice remind me that my time spent with the Lord was not just another item to mark as done on my to do list. My time spent in the Word and prayer is life sustaining. It is the only thing that really matters on my to do list today.

I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. Psalm 143:6 (NLT)
