Many HR professionals make a career out of trying to figure out how to motivate employees. Motivating them to accept the job, motivating them to stay at the job, motivating them to do the job better. These HR professionals create benefits packages, succession planning, training programs, and appraisal processes. The list goes on and on. It seems that despite the number of programs created and the millions of dollars spent, motivation continues to be an elusive goal.
Solomon tells us:
Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless-like chasing the wind.
Perhaps this truth tells us why these motivation goals never seem to be met? What's your motivation? Luckily, those in Christ can find their motivation in pleasing their Lord and Savior.

Lisa - I never saw that verse in Ecclesiastes about motivation before! How did he know 3,000 years ago how life would be? Hmm.. chasing the wind, yes. Let's batton down the hatches.
